Air Pressure Upsets Venom

The Throne Kings of the Hill $1,000.00 to win event presented by APC / CANUSA, Huron Produce & Ron O’Brien Remax was won not by Venom, but by Justin DeMello in Air Pressure! Earning himself the new nickname “Venom Killer”, Demello was able to hold off the yellow mustang using the entire race track to his advantage. It was clear from the outset he had no intention of letting Venom by. It is disputed whether the pair made contact going down the front stretch to the checkers. Early in the evening, venom faced a serious challenge from a distance competitor. “Snow Storm” arrived on the scene – an upgraded Subaru STI. Snow Storm, having never run at Delaware found the track very challenging, but still gave Venom a run for his money and impressed fans with his overall speed and launch off the line.
In the finals, Air Pressure faced off against newcomer “Pearly Whites”, a white Shoebox-type Honda civic. Neck and neck off turn four, Air Pressure narrowly edged out Pearly Whites to claim the $1,000.00. As a show of sportsmanship, Air Pressure donated a portion of his prize money to the Make A Wish charity.
The next Throne Kings of the Hill Spectator race will be the Nationals event on the Great Canadian Race Weekend. The format for the afternoon Nationals is yet to be announced, however prizing information & details are expected to be made available shortly. The race will take place on September 1st.
