Interview with Track Announcer Chris

Dave Lawrence Helps Out
|
Uncle Don had a great idea for one of our off weekends - raise money for the Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Fund. We spoke with the Salvation Army and Kevin Bulmer and the Team at Delaware Speedway, they were very supportive.
On Saturday, September 17th we set up our car and display on the concourse right next to the Speedway stands. To make things a bit more fun we also decided to raffle off a chance to drive our race car during our Sponsor & Team Appreciation Day in October.
Street Stock driver Dave Lawrence and his son Jordan (a JRL racer) also joined us to help out. Kris Lawrence and Stephen Richmond also eagerly joined our fundraising team.
Despite some exciting championship racing lots of Delaware Speedway fans took time out to visit our display and contribute. Thanks to them we were able to raise over six-hundred dollars for the Hurricane Relief Fund! THANKS FANS!!!
Thanks also to Mom for getting our display materials ready and to Uncle Don for a great idea and for getting Gert ready for the big day. And thanks to Kris Lawrence, Jordan Lawrence, and Stephen Richmond for helping out all afternoon.
If you were not able to join us you can still help out Hurricane Katrina victims, just click on this image:
