April 2, 2004 (amended) The PERKINS RACING TEAM is excited to announce that their driver Andrew Perkins will be moving up to the competitive Delaware Speedway Kendall Motor Oil Street Stock Division for the 2004 racing season. Andrew Perkins is a graduate of the CASCAR Junior developmental racing program, where he successfully competed for 7 fun seasons.
Andrew would also like to acknowledge the support of McDonald’s Restaurants while racing in the Junior Division. McDonald’s Restaurants, Brian Finch Pontiac Buick GMC Ltd., and PCS Automation supported Andrew throughout his time in Junior racing, and without their support and encouragement this move up to Street Stock would not be possible. Andrew is proud to be associated with all of these fine London firms. Andrew will be joined by fellow Junior graduate and friend Darrell Lake, who is also making the move up to Street Stock this year in the Traction London Driveline Chevy Nova. Andrew and Darrell will be on the track April 3, 2004 for the first of two official practice sessions at Delaware Speedway. The first night of racing will be on Friday, April 16, 2004. Make plans to come out and see how these friends and competitors make out against Dave Lawrence (defending Street Stock champion) and the rest of the super competitive Kendall Motor Oil Street Stock drivers at Delaware Speedway.
