CASCAR JUNIOR
CASCAR Junior was a racing program designed by CASCAR's President Tony Novotny, and London Free Press reporter Clare Dear. CASCAR Junior was "racing geared for kids", with a special emphasis on safety, driver skills, and driver education.
The cars were mechanically identical, 1/2 scale replicas of the cars that the professionals drove in the nation-wide CASCAR Super Series. Racing was divided into two age groups, the Junior Division - Age 8 to 12 years old, and the Senior Division - Age 13 to 17 years of Age. Races were held once a week, plus special events (like the CARQUEST 500 Weekend) at Delaware Speedway and Grand Bend Micro Speedway. Educational scholarships and other prizes were awarded to divisional champions and winners of special awards.
Tony Novotny once said "we need a proper environment where we can give young talent a place to develop, just as we have for hockey and other sports". We think that Tony's CASCAR Junior certainly fulfilled that vision. Graduates of CASCAR Junior include J. R. Fitzpatrick who graduated to the CASCAR Super Series in 2004, and became the CASCAR Super Series Champion in 2006.

Many racers also participated in the Junior Late Model Invitational (JLMI) Series which started in 2001. The JLMI series allowed Junior racers a chance to run at tracks across Southern Ontario (Grand Bend, Varney, Peterborough, Flamboro, Kawartha, Barrie, Sauble).
In 2003 JLMI became the JCAR Series.
