We will try to post news that affects pool scoring (such as who failed to qualify, who was out with an injury, etc.) for each race.


 
  • RACE 11 - DARLINGTON: Matt Kenseth prevails at Darlington, as Kyle Busch wrecks Kasey Kahne.
    Denny Hamlin finishes second in his first full race back in the #11. Kesilowski has a lousy day, and Kasey Kahne ends up 17th after being wrecked by Busch. (May 11)
  • RACE 11 - DARLINGTON: Kurt Busch wins the Darlington pole with a record run.
    Danica Patrick qualfies poorly again. Mark Martin qualifies the #55 car, Regan Smith qualifies the #51. (May 10)

  • RACE 8 - UPDATE 3: Appeals Board dramatically reduces the penalties given to Gibbs team, and Kenseth.
    Kenseth's 50-point penalty has been reduced to 12 points, moving him up to fourth place in the standings. This change will be reflected in our next update (after Darlington). Twenty-three (23) Pool Teams are affected. (May 09)

  • RACE 9 - UPDATE 1: Kevin Harvick wins in overtime at Richmond.
    Mark Martin, Greg Biffle, and Kyle Busch have tough days in Richmond.(Apr.27)
  • RACE 9 - RICHMOND: Matt Kenseth wins the Richmond pole after a tough week.
    A.J. Almindinger qualfies the #51, Mark Marting qualfied the #55. (Apr. 26)

  • RACE 8 - UPDATE 2: Kenseth hit with harsh penalties by NASCAR.
    Kenseth's engine failed post race inspection, he was penalized FIFTY POINTS and had his victory removed from the record books for the season. Twenty-three (23) Pool Teams are affected. (Apr.24)
  • RACE 8 - UPDATE 1: Matt Kenseth wins at Kansas.
    Kyle Busch and Joey Logano have an early crash, producing bad points days.(Apr.21)
  • RACE 8 - KANSAS: Matt Kenseth puts his #20 on the Kansas pole.
    Jeff Gordon failed to post a time. Mark Martin qualified the #55, while Regan Smith qualified #51. Hamlin, Almendinger, and Sadler did not enter the race. (Apr. 20)

  • RACE 7 - UPDATE 2: Kesilowski, Logano, Truex Jr. get points penalties after Texas.
    Kesilowski, Logano lose 25 points each, while Truex Jr. loses 6 points. The Pool Standings have been adjusted accordingly.(Apr.18)
  • RACE 7 - UPDATE 1: Kyle Busch wins Cup race, sweeps the weekend at Texas.
    Ricky Stenhouse, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt Jr. have disappointing points days.(Apr.13)
  • RACE 7 - TEXAS: Kyle Busch sets track record, wins the Texas pole.
    Kurt Busch joins Kyle on the front row. Mark Martin qualified the #55 car, Austin Dillon qualified the #51. (Apr. 12)

  • RACE 6 - UPDATE 1: Jimmie Johnson wins another clock for HMS in Martinsville.
    Johnson moves into 1st place in the Cup Standings; Truex Jr., Ryan Newman, Earnhardt Jr. have disappointing points days.(Apr.07)
  • RACE 6 - MARTINSVILLE: Jimmie Johnson sets record at Martinsville, wins pole.
    Mark Martin fills in for Hamlin, Vickers strong in #55 car. (Apr. 06)

  • RACE 5 - UPDATE 3: Hamlin will miss 6 weeeks, Martin & Vickers will sub for him.
    This will affect 30 Pool Teams who have Hamlin, 28 Teams who have Martin, and 24 Teams who have Vickers.(Mar.29)
  • RACE 5 - UPDATE 2: Hamlin suffers compression fracture in lower back.
    Hamlin's driving status has yet to be determined, but if he misses any races it would affect 30 Pool Teams.(Mar.25)
  • RACE 5 - UPDATE 1: Logano-Hamlin wreck gives the win to Kyle Busch in California.
    Earnhardt Jr. moves into first place in Cup Standings; Mark Martin, Bowyer, Smoke, Kesilowski and Hamlin have bad points days.(Mar.24)
  • RACE 5 - CALIFORNIA: Denny Hamlin wins the AutoClub 400 (California) pole.
    Mark Martin and A.J. Almindinger enter and qualfy. (Mar. 23)

  • RACE 4 - UPDATE 1: Kasey Kahne wins the Food City 500 at Bristol.
    Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, and Jimmie Johnson have bad points days on the short track. (Mar.17)
  • RACE 4 - BRISTOL: Kyle Busch takes the Bristol pole, sets track record.
    Mark Martin did not enter the race, McDowell and Almendinger did enter and qualify. (Mar. 15)

  • RACE 3 - UPDATE 1: Matt Kenseth celebrates his birthday with win at Las Vegas.
    Ryan Newman has another bad day, Danica and Jeff Gordon struggle too. (Mar.10)
  • RACE 3 - LAS VEGAS: Vegas qualifying rained out, grid set by points.
    Kesilowski gets the pole. Austin Dillion starts in the #51 car, while Sadler, Almendinger, and Vickers are not entered in the race. (Mar. 09)

  • RACE 2 - UPDATE 1: Carl Edwards finally breaks through, wins the Subway 400 at Phoenix.
    Ryan Newman, Danica Patrick, Kyle Busch, and Kasey Kahne have bad points days. (Mar.03)
  • RACE 2 - PHOENIX: Mark Martin wins the Phoenix pole.
    Kasey Kahne qualified second. All 43 drivers who took times qualfied for the race. A.J. Almendinger got the start in the 51 car, while Stremme qualified the #30 car. McDowell, Sadler, and Vickers did not enter the race. (Mar. 02)

    Mike Bliss and Brian Kesilowski (not Pool drivers) failed to qualify. David Stremme, Almindinger, Sadler, and Vickers did not enter the race. (Feb.21)

  • RACE 1 - DAYTONA: Danica Patrick wins the Daytona 500 Pole (and her place in NASCAR history).
    Jeff Gordon qualifys second, will start alongside Patrick. The rest of the field will be determined February 21st. (Feb.17)

  • Michael McDowell has signed a deal to run the #98 car full time in 2013, therefore the Driver Groups have been modified to include him. Please ensure that you use version TWO of the Entry Form when entering the Pool.

  • The 2013 NASCAR POOL RULES have been posted.
    Note that the Entry Fee is $20, with a portion going directly to a charity (amount to be determined based on the number of entries). (Jan. 14)
  • We WILL be running a Pool in 2013.
    We are working on the Rules, Driver Groups and Scoring - stay tuned! (Jan. 08)
  • We didn't get a lot of feedback at the end of last season, so we are not sure if we will offer a Pool once again. Please let Matt or Doug know IF YOU DO WANT a Pool in 2013.
